There is a whole lot of laughter and cuttin’ up goin’ on for the first 20 minutes or so in this weeks podcast. Rylan & Golden take a while to get to the point of the evenings discussion but have a lot of fun along the way. Quick, what state is abbreviated with PA? And they found a new way to finance road trips so they can accept all the backpacking invitations! As mentioned earlier Golden is on FaceBook. This weeks album art is from Keith in New Jersey and his hiking buddy Jack. Keith pointed out that Rylan and Golden hadn’t ever mentioned the forum WhiteBlaze.net. After hearing that The SouthEastern Backpackers talked about WhiteBlaze, HammockForums.net and AlaTrails.com. There is some discussion about Shug’s YouTube channel and how he makes his videos. He uses a camera attachment that connects to the end of his trekking pole called the StickPic. It allows someone to photograph or video themselves, have total control over the camera but keep it extended several feet away like someone else is managing the camera.
Even though they can’t start off with Dane & Connie on their thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail Rylan & Golden will try to catch up with them at a later point. Right now they are putting together a hike with their kids to the Len Foote Hike Inn on the Appalachian Trail. A podcast from the Inn will probably follow soon.
Running a little behind they come across some links provided by Matthew from The AlaTrails Forum.
