It's like Christmas in February around the stogie table this week for the SouthEastern Backpackers! Bill in Pennsylvania mailed in four very nice Arturo Fuente cigars. Those are some of his favorites and he wanted to share them. The Fuente's were fabulous and deeply appreciated. Dane & Connie recently sent two Gossamer Gear SitLite Sit Pads. The timing was superb since this episode was recorded on a pretty chilly Alabama evening. So the pads were used and field tested right away. The pads will be going on future hikes along with the memories of hiking with Dane & Connie. Christmas brought a few new items to the podcasting table also. A small but powerful flashlight and an LL Bean hat with a built in flashlight in the visor. Both are used to read notes and emails while podcasting. A nice warm fire is crackling in the background on a cold evening in Alabama but it was nothing like the MINUS 26 degrees on Shug's latest hike (the video follows this post).
