Back in May Rylan was back on the AT in Virginia for a week with Toothless and his group. After a little monologue from Rylan about this web site and what we can do with it we hear the conversation from the first night from the trail. This was one of the hardest hikes in recent memory. Most nights there wasn't any energy for cuttin' up on a podcast so we only have a few recordings. Although the trip started in the snow the temps rapidly jumped into or near the 90's and without leaves on the trees the sun was baking us pretty bad. Several days we even got up early and started hiking by flashlight so we could get in some miles before the heat started beating us down. But as always hiking with a group and getting to know these people made it a marvelous experience.
